Obituary

Wilhemenia London Wheelock
Legacy of Life
" The Lord Is My Shepherd "

A Time To Be Born:

Sister  Wilhemenia London Wheelock
was  born  December 31, 1922 in East Feliciana Parish in the city of Clinton, Louisiana to the linage of Thomas and Carrie Prophet London.  She was the fifth of six children born to this union.

A Time To Die:
With her travels here on earth completed, Sister Wilhemenia , on Monday, January 11, 2016 at Lane Memorial Medical Center in Zachary, Louisiana heard the still small voice of her Lord and Savior say my child you have served me well; come home and take your rest.  So without a word spoken, she moved quietly in her new home.

A Time To Plant And A Time To Pluck That Which Has Been Planted:
" Bill " as she was affectionately called by her sisters and brothers, accepted Christ as her personal Lord and Savior at an early age and was baptized at Asbury Methodist Church in Clinton, Louisiana where she remained a faithful member until the family moved to the Scotlandville Community.  She transferred her membership to Camphor Memorial United Methodist Church where she has remained a dedicated member for more than sixty (60) plus years.  She was a member of the Prayer Band (given the nickname "Prayer Warrior" by some members), Communion Stewards, the Combined Choir and the Fellowship and Service Club.

A Time To Love:
Sister Wilhemenia met and was united in holy matrimony to the love of her life, the late David Wheelock.  She loved and was devoted to family and friends with a motto of " If I Can Help Somebody, Then My Living Will Not Be In Vein ".

A Time To Mourn:

Sister Wilhemenia leaves to cherish her memories:  two daughters, Doris W. Bowers of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Mary W. Emerson (Olan J.) of Baker, Louisiana; one nephew who was like a son, Alfred U.
