Rosa Lee Anderson was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on December 26, 1922 to the late Robert Anderson and Eliza Atkins Anderson. Rosa received her education through the Public School System of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She confessed Christ at an early age, she love the Lord.

Rosa departed this life in Baker, Louisiana on Thursday, December 18, 2014 at 2:00p.m. to go home with the Lord. She leaves to continue her legacy: two sons, Alfred Dixon and Lionel Dixon, both of Oakland, CA; six daughters & three son-in-laws, Shirley Brown of Stockbridge, GA, Barbara Rivera of Oakland, CA, Mary (Peter) Nash of Stockbridge, GA, Mother Audrey (Rev. Fred) Sledge of Baker, LA, Patricia Dixon of Stockbridge, GA, and LaRunda (Rev. George) Fullwood of Oakland, CA; half daughter, Sherley Monroe, of San Leandro, CA; sister-in-law, Kelcey Anderson of Oakland, CA; seven stepchildren of Haynes, Sylvia Haynes, Delores Haney, Charles Haney, Ulysses Haynes, Terry Haney, Glenda Haney and Earl Haney; her 40 grandchildren, 62 great-grandchildren, and 51 great-great- grandchildren; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, God-children, and one special God child, Jackie Wilson of Oakland, CA; and caretakers and many dear friends.
