Obituary

Robert’s life was marked by quiet strength, enduring love, and a steadfast devotion to those he held dear.

With heavy hearts and fond remembrance, we announce the passing of Robert Palmer, who departed this world on July 10, 2026, at the age of eighty-two. Born on June 20, 1944, Robert’s life was marked by quiet strength, enduring love, and a steadfast devotion to those he held dear.

Robert's presence was a gentle, guiding light—unassuming yet deeply felt by all who had the good fortune to know him. His journey spanned decades of devotion and companionship, and while words can never fully capture the essence of his spirit, those closest to him carry his imprint in the fondness of their memories and the warmth of their hearts.

At the center of Robert’s world was his beloved wife, Sheila Palmer, who survives him. Their marriage was a partnership built on mutual respect and unwavering support, shaped by countless shared moments—both of joy and challenge—that only strengthened their enduring bond. Sheila’s love was the cornerstone of Robert’s happiness, and he cherished every day in her company.

Though Robert’s circle may have been small, his impact was profound. He believed in sincerity, kindness, and the value of simple acts of caring—principles he practiced without expectation of notice or praise. Within the quiet grace of his daily life, he found contentment in being a steadfast companion, a loving husband, and a reliable friend.

Robert's presence was a gentle, guiding light—unassuming yet deeply felt by all who had the good fortune to know him.

Those who mourn his absence do so not just for the man he was, but for the tender legacy he leaves behind—a legacy defined by genuine love, loyalty, and an abiding gentleness of spirit.

Family, friends, and all whose lives Robert touched are invited to gather, remember, and celebrate his life. A visitation will be held on July 17, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Scott's Bluff Morticians, 8546 Scenic Hwy, Baton Rouge, LA. A Celebration of Life will follow at the same location from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Robert Palmer’s journey has ended, but the memory of his kindness and the strength of his character will echo in the hearts of those who knew him for years to come. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
