It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Nathaniel Dewayne Washington, affectionately known as "Manu," who departed this life on June 11, 2026, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Nathaniel was born on October 3, 1988, in Baton Rouge. He was a beloved son, brother, and friend, remembered by those closest to him for his warmth, kindness, and steadfast spirit.

Nathaniel’s roots were deeply planted in Baton Rouge, where he was born and raised. It was here that he began to build the relationships and values that would define his life. Throughout his years, Nathaniel embraced life with resilience and a quiet strength, leaving an indelible mark on everyone fortunate to know him.

He is cherished and remembered always by his loving family. Nathaniel leaves behind his mother, Angelina Washington; and his devoted sisters, Ashley Washington and Angela Washington. Their love and admiration for Nathaniel are everlasting, and his absence will be felt deeply. The family holds close the memories of his laughter, support, and unwavering love.

As the community joins together to honor the life of Nathaniel Dewayne Washington, services have been arranged to pay tribute to his memory. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Scott's Bluff Morticians, located at 8546 Scenic Hwy, Baton Rouge, LA 70807. Immediately following, a Celebration of Life will commence at 11:00 AM at the same location. Interment will take place at Thomas Chapel, Lavey Ln, Baker, LA 70714.

Throughout his years, Nathaniel embraced life with resilience and a quiet strength, leaving an indelible mark on everyone fortunate to know him.

Nathaniel's life, though cut short, was a beacon of light for his family and all who knew him. His legacy will live on in the hearts of his loved ones and friends. As we reflect on his journey and the memories he gave us, we honor the man he was and the heartfelt bonds he leaves behind.
