Malinda "Dear" Blacher, a resident of Baton Rouge and native of St. Francisville, LA surrounded by her loved ones transitioned from earth to heaven on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at the of 88. Visiting with the family will be Friday, October 10, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. at Scott's Bluff Funeral Home, 8546 Scenic Highway. Homegoing Celebration will be Saturday, October 11, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at New Light Missionary Baptist Church, 650 Blount Road, conducted by Dr. Gil H. Wright, Pastor. Interment in the Mount Pilgrim Benevolent Society Cemetery. She is survived by eight devoted children: Felton Williams, Gloria K. Hatfield, Leon (Margaret) Chatman, Ronald R. McNealy, Linda Blacher, Debra A. Blacher, Denoise B. Wills and Tony (Beth) Moore, all of Baton Rouge, LA; 18 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
