Obituary

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Gregory Williams, a devoted father, skilled brick mason, and cherished member of his community. Born on November 1, 1965, in St. Francisville, Gregory’s life was one defined by hard work, love for his family, and the quiet joy he found in the simple moments spent with those he held dear.

Gregory departed this life on April 27, 2026, at Our Lady of Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. His journey came to an end in the city where he spent much of his life, surrounded by the people and places that shaped him.

A craftsman by trade, Gregory’s hands built more than just walls; they built security and warmth for many families through his dedication as a brick mason. Yet, it was his role as a father that remained his greatest pride. He was a loving father to one daughter and three sons. Through his nurturing spirit and unwavering support, he instilled in them values of resilience and kindness. Gregory treasured spending time with his children and his grandchildren, relishing those moments of laughter, storytelling, and family connection that created lasting memories.

To honor his life, a visitation will be held on May 9, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Scott's Bluff Morticians, located at 8546 Scenic Hwy, Baton Rouge, LA 70807. Following the visitation, a Celebration of Life will take place the same day from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, offering friends and loved ones a moment to gather, reflect, and share the profound impact Gregory’s presence had on their lives.

Gregory Williams’s legacy is one marked by steadfast dedication, the integrity of a hardworking craftsman, and the boundless love of a devoted father and grandfather. While his passing leaves a deep void, the memories he created with his family and friends endure as a testament to a life well-lived. In the hearts of his children and grandchildren, and the many lives he touched, Gregory will be remembered forever with admiration and affection.
