Sister Alberta Kelly Bell
was born on August 3, 1921 to C. D. Badie and King Gross. She departed this life at the age of 94. She was baptized at an early age at St. Mary Baptist Church by the late Reverend Freeman. She lived in Pontiac, Michigan for some time. She moved back to Baton Rouge and united in Holy Matrimony to Jessie Bell on February 11, 1955.
Sister Alberta Kelly Bell
became a member of Greater New Guide Baptist Church, under the leadership of the late Reverend Freeman. She became a member of the 19th Street Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Pastor Frank O'Connor until present Pastor Andrew Douglas. She was the mother of the church and a life long member of the Progressive Baptist Association.

was a member of Queen Ann Eastern Star one, affectionately known as "Lady Silver Dollar" and other social events.

was famous for her Macaroni and Cheese, and Egg Custard Pie. She loved to work in her flower bed, made macramé hand dolls, and wonderful ceramics working in her own gift shop.

leaves to cherish her memories her loving husband of sixty (60) years, Jessie Bell; sister Ella Rose Lockwood of Sacramento, California; nieces, Joyce (Bernard) Cain, Rosia Lee Turner, and Sandra (Jerry) Kelly; one nephew, Gary Robinson; Brother-in-law, Henry Young, Jr., and numerous relatives and friends.

was proceeded in death by her parents, C. D. Badie and King Gross; four (4) sisters, Mary McKinley, Donna Ree Gross, Rosia Lee Kelly and Gertrude Young; four (4) brothers, James, Fred, Emile, and L. C. Kelly; two (2) special nephews, John T. Turner and Carl Roberson, and two (2) nieces, Pamela Diane Kelly and Martha McKinley.
